Erris at Night Solar Eclipse Watch Party

Join Erris at Night for a once-in-a-generation celestial event in a truly spectacular and ancient place, Cross Abbey on the Mullet Peninsula, County Mayo!
On Wednesday, 12th August, Ireland will witness an extraordinary deep partial solar eclipse, and the Mullet Peninsula is officially among the best vantage points in Europe to experience it! Because we are perched on the edge of an unobstructed western ocean horizon, with incredible unpolluted dark skies, will get a flawless view of the entire event as the Moon obscures a staggering 95.1% of the Sun, if the clouds allow. Solar eclipse safety glasses will be provided. No matter how tempting it might be, never look at the Sun during an eclipse!
Where: Cross Abbey, the Mullet Peninsula, County Mayo (off the R313)
